30Six NoDa

It has been somewhat of a nightmare to be honest. My roommate and I moved into an apartment that would not have met anyones first impression. A certain vibrant and professional leasing agent who name Im not able to say "Think famous Song" (___ and Ivory) was very pleasant in helping us get through that. We also had pigeons living on our patio that left feces all over the walls and ground, which went on for the first month (March-April) we were told that they couldn't do anything and our only option was to pay the same rent for a basement apartment (We live facing the pool) Lastly, Ive never been in an apartment complex that communicated VIA email. If there is any important information it is texted to you or left in your door. We are now faced with another month of rent after a misleading email with information that was vague to our original lease. I am unimpressed! Will avoid being a tenant with Greystar until I feel like I am treated better.

Love this place! Ebony was so helpful with my tour and answered all my questions. Everything was so clean and I was so impressed by the decor! It’s so close to everything and has shops across the street which is very convenient. Love that F45 is right there. I ended up moving into a friend’s townhome but would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in Charlotte!

Update following the landlord's response: I would not rent here again knowing what I do now about the building's practices and customer service. It's concerning that an inspection of the unit was done without my knowledge or presence. It's also concerning that this review is the first time the landlord has responded in detail about the supposed damages even after several emails and calls. I maintain that I should not be charged for damages. I've shown the building management's photos of the supposed damage to two different licensed contractors and their professional opinion is that there is no damage beyond reasonable wear and tear. ___ I lived here for a little more than a year and on the whole found 30Six Noda to be a convenient and decent place to live– though, it's worth noting that the building is between two active freight rail lines and you will regularly hear and smell the trains especially when they idle next to the building. My experience after moving out has been terrible. Shortly after moving out, I received a statement with a $150 charge for damage to the ceiling. This surprised me as I had done a walk though with a member of the building's maintenance team after cleaning and emptying the apartment. He had communicated to me that everything in the apartment looked fine and that there was nothing in the apartment that would merit charges. I've been polite, direct, and prompt in all of my communications but the management company has been entirely unhelpful and unresponsive even when I've provided photos that show there is no damage to the ceiling. Beyond telling me that there is supposedly damage from smoke (I don't smoke), I haven't even gotten a written description of the nature, scope, and scale of the damages. This is all to say that if you're thinking of renting here, be warned: take photos of every inch of the unit when you move in, note everything on the move-in report, and don't trust anything the building staff tell you about the condition of the apartment.

Unfortunately there’s no option for zero stars. Terrible experience from start to finish. We signed our lease only to our surprise to move into an absolutely filthy apartment that had not been cleaned!!!! What a way to be greeted. It’s like after the money was collected everything changed, a classic Bait & Switch if you would. Washer, dryer barely functioned as well as dishwasher- below average maintenance staff that would shrug their shoulders at our requests. The inside of the apartment was bad so we figure ehhh let’s go on the patio where we were greeted by birds nests and bird feces throughout! Oh and now the best part there grand finale- an email that clearly states our lease ends on one date and now they’re saying well no not exactly just to milk us for another months rent. Lousy lousy lousy…. Ohhhh how could I forget- bike stolen, car broken into. There are a million options in Charlotte to live - save yourself time, money, and the headache. Cross this place off your list.
